Question of the month!!

I'm going to try something new, to get know people and to get learn about each other. Okay, anyone out there that wants to contribute just hit "comments" and answer the "Question of the Month?" Hope you all participate!! Kathie

June's Question: What book(s) have you recently read that you would recommend? (If you want to give a brief review of it that would be great)
P.S. For those with children a recommendation of a good children's book is always good to.

I have heard and read another book similar to this one. Keeda is a monkey lover and likes Curious George Books. 'Curious You On Your Way!' has a sticker on it saying for graduates of all ages. The book encourages readers to use their imagination to do their best in life.

"The Choice" by Nicholas Sparks.
I have read all of his books and they are really good. I pasted the description of this book below. It is his latest book that came out.

Travis Parker has everything a man could want: a good job, loyal friends, even a waterfront home in small-town North Carolina. In full pursuit of the good life -- boating, swimming, and regular barbecues with his good-natured buddies -- he holds the vague conviction that a serious relationship with a woman would only cramp his style. That is, until Gabby Holland moves in next door. Despite his attempts to be neighborly, the appealing redhead seems to have a chip on her shoulder about him...and the presence of her longtime boyfriend doesn't help. Despite himself, Travis can't stop trying to ingratiate himself with his new neighbor, and his persistent efforts lead them both to the doorstep of a journey that neither could have foreseen. Spanning the eventful years of young love, marriage and family, The Choice ultimately confronts us with the most heartwrenching question of all: how far would you go to keep the hope of love alive?

HI! Again. I thought of another book: "Thank You Power" by Deborah Norville. It was recommended in the St. Paul Pioneer Press and it was very good. A great reminder to us that we should show our appreciation, and to recognize the good things that happen in our lives. Kathie

Recent fiction favorites: "Water for Elephants" (about growing old in America and the circus in the 1920's and 1930's) and "Thirteenth Tale" (mystery about a famous author's life). Biographies: John Adams and Truman by David McCullough. I've gotten into listening to non-fiction books on tape while I'm driving so I've been education myself.

Undaunted Courage by Stephen Amberose. It is about the Lewis & Clarks expedition across the country. Their travel through the Dakota Territory is fascinating. The Mandan Indian village of 4500 tribe members was bigger than St Louis Missouri (2500). Great read.
