Don and I just returned from a short trip to Iceland. That's a very interesting place! It's a volcanic island with glaciers, hot springs, geysers, waterfalls and lots of lava. It is near the Arctic Circle so it was light 24 hours a day. We did tours, saw the puffins nesting, rode horses (for 2 hours -- we're not in shape for that) and swam in the Blue Lagoon hot spring. There's a picture of one of the glaciers to the left. Our photography leaves quite a bit to be desired, but you can at least see the snow.
