Happy New Year!

We've had a very busy holiday season. The weekend before Christmas Don and I headed to Minneapolis for some shopping and visiting. All 4 of our children (and 2 sons-in-law) live in the Minneapolis area. All 8 of us came back to Colman, SD for Christmas. We got caught in a icy storm on Christmas Day -- Erin and her husband slid into the ditch on I-29 with several other vehicles. The rest of us assisted in pushing them out and we made it to the Froehlich family gathering.

Don and I headed to Pasadena on a 9 day Rose Bowl trip. SDSU's marching band was in the parade. As part of the tour, we went to the San Diego Wild Life Park, Universal Studios, Ronald Reagan Library, behind the scenes float building, Rose Bowl Parade, etc., etc. We also did 2 days in Las Vegas. Besides seeing a couple shows on the Strip, we went to the Atomic Testing Museum with a man who had worked at the nuclear testing site in the 1950's. Very interesting!

We are now home -- and our children (with the exception of Wes -- our youngest son who goes to college at U of Minnesota, Twin Cities) are all back in Minnesota. I'm doing laundry and getting reorganized to head to Biloxi, Mississippi the last week of January to a Habitat for Humanity International Disaster Preparedness and home building event.
