Update on Audrey Threadgold from Laurie

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your families. We thank you for all the cards and letters. Unfortunately, Tyler's senior pictures were delayed and I wasn't able to get cards out this year.
Mom (Audrey) had horrible abdominal and back pain on Christmas Eve and we spent the evening in ER undergoing tests here in St. Louis. Christmas Day they found out here Bile duct was block which inflammed here liver and Gal Bladder that also caused all the pain. Her Gal Bladder was removed today at noon. The surgery went smooth and if she is ok tomorrow they may release her late afternoon. Dad and Mom will be staying with us until she is ready to travel home from St. Louis. She has been in so much pain since it started. I am checking in with the nurses and they are making sure she is comfortable when we are not at the hospital.
Give us a call anytime if you would like to check in with her 314-952-1959 (cell) 636-386-1959(home) or mom and dad's cell 605-376-1872.

I hope everything will go OK with Audrey. Heidi's pain persisted after the removal of the gall bladder. It took a couple of years and many doctors to figure out what was wrong. A doctor from Sioux Falls finally directed her to one in the cities who put a stint (I think that is what it is called) which allowed the bile to become unblocked.

Sorry to hear that Audrey had to go through surgery, but thank goodness it was a problem that could be solved. The timing wasn't the best, but I'm sure ST Louis has good doctors. Laurie, I bet you are happy to have your folks with you a little longer than expected. Never can spend enough time with our parents. Hope your Christmas was good despite the problem with your Mother. Happy New Year to the entire family.
