I'm sure others beside myself, have gone to "Marley and Me"! It is wonderful--sad--but good. We've probably all have had a Marley in our life time (some pet, even if it wasn't a dog). Anyone have any stories??
Our movie would have to be entititled : "Zues and Me" Zues was our first Gordon Setter!! When we saw the reddish brown coat (instead of the black--a recessive gene came out)) it should have given us a clue that we were in the "ride " of our lives!! He just had this look in his eye and when it was there--you knew he was going blastick!!--he was out of here--he was gone!! He ran, and ran, and he was known to: watch TV with neighbors on their couch; to catch ride home with the Cottage Grove police; unlatch the hook on kennel door; leave Derek face first in the snow bank; scale the 5 foot fence; took off with me and the chain resulting in 15 stitches; to being a patient at the U of Mn animal hospital. Yes, lots of fun memories. Share yours!!! Kathie

Did you know that "Marley" the dog came from Howard, SD---the father was Jim Klinkhammers and the Dornbush's bought the mother. There was an article about it in the Sioux Falls paper. dt
I hope to go to the movie--I've got lots of dog stories, but none seems to turn out with a good ending. Britches was probable one of our best, but we had a couple of good St. Bernards when the kids were small. I can still remember Grandpa Harvey's "Bing" that rode in his Jeep and pulled a big wooden sled that carried me and the rabbits that Harlyn shot when he was baby sitting me. dt
