Sleeping mat for Haiti

At the Fedora 125th, Audrey and I were talking about a Sioux Falls church that was making sleeping mats out of old t-shirts to send to Haiti. Both had heard about it in the news and had it on our minds that we could do something like that. Well, I started a community project in LaBolt and here is my first mat. I just learned to crochet on Thursday and finished it last night (Saturday) so it was not that hard. My picture taking is not that great. I think it looks better in real life. Most of the t-shirts were Dale's railroad orange or Kathie's running t-shirts.

Good job. We should keep and collect our t-shirts and give you. Kathie

I have some t-shirts I'd be happy to bring home next time I'm back if you need more. What a neat way to help people in need.

We can use all the t-shirts we can get. Although everybody laughs my goal is 100 mats and that would take 2000 t-shirts. Betty
