I don't know if anyone watched the ABC National news last night (18th). They showed a surgeron from Mayo Clinic doing the Deep Brain Stimulation procedure on a patient (a violinist from the Mpls. orchestra). He has essential tremors, which is similar to Parkinson's. Anway, the surgery was successful--and that will be my surgeon on April 5th at Mayo. So that makes me feel more confident. I go down April 1st for all the prelims---go home--stop my medicine on Sunday and the surgery is scheduled for 5:30 AM the 5th!! Kathie Nordtvedt

Kathie: We were telling Dick of your impending surgery and he said a lady in the duplicate bridge club where he plays had the surgery and he said the results after the surgery were un believeably great.Prior to the surgery the lady had difficulty sorting cards and her speech was affected and now that has all been eliminated so the outlook for your surgery seems great. We will be thinking of kyou and pray that all goes well and that the procedure is very successful. Love Phyllis & Jim
