Old Picture

I don't think we know all the people in the picture. Would someone list all the names?

This picture is a 4 generation picture when Dick Williams was a baby. It was probably taken when Phyllis was home and I was in flight training in 1944.
Left to right in the picture are-
Gertrude Threadgold, Harvey Threadgold, Bernice Williams, Oscor Threadgold and in front of him Hanne Threadgold holding Dick, then next John Scott, Phyllis , and Andy Williams. Jim & Phyullis

I didn't know you flew? Do you still? My husband's father had flew the mail stateside during WWII. Then he had a flight school where my husband Rick learned to fly. My youngest son Ryan goes for his license tomorrow morning.

Karen: I graduated from flight training in March 1945 and was assigned to a troop carrier unit in preperation for the invasion of Japan. We flew C 47s which were used for pulling gliders and carrying para troopers. When the atom bombs were dropped on Japan the war endied quickly so our unit was disbanded and most of us opted to return to civillian life and finish college. The last I flew a plane was during the Korean war. I used my remaing GI college time to take instructors training.I loved flying and now that we live near Luke air base we see the F16s fly over frequently and I always look up and watch them go over and wonder what it would be like to fly a jet.
