from Harlyn & Audrey's daughter, Laurie

I wanted to share the link of advertisement of my husband's new Wine bar that was on the news tonight. Ernesto's (Spanish word for Ernest) thought if I shared it with you I could maybe perc some family interest to come visit us (hate not having family near by)!!!! Dieter (retired FBI special agent and real estate developer for historic development) is a fan of the author Ernest Hemingway and based his Wine bar on Hemingway's life and writings. Dieter rehabbed this old building with trees growing out of it and animals flowing in and out and has now been awarded as one of the 14 buildings in the St. Louis metropolitan area as the best historic rehabs.

South Dakota Winter

Winter Poem

It's winter in South Dakota
And the gentle breezes blow
Seventy miles an hour
At thirty-five below.

Oh, how I love South Dakota
When the snow's up to your butt
You take a breath of winter
And your nose gets frozen shut.

Yes, the weather here is wonderful
So I guess I'll stick around
I could never leave South Dakota
I'm frozen to the ground!
