Economy-- The Depression vs. Now?
The economists say that we are getting close to what is was like in the 20's-30's "The Depression." Those that were around than--or heard stories about than vs. what we are facing now . would you please share. It seems so interesting. Kathie

HI! Family: I've started to really enjoy reading (now that I have time) . A friend of mine invited me on to her "Goodread" web site. By doing this I can look at all the books she has read, currently reading or wants to read; and I can read her review of it. I can invite anyone on mine site to know what they are reading; as well as have a running tab of what I have read or am reading. I've invited Kaia, Katie, etc. onto mine and it fun to see what they are reading and if they liked it. So you readers out there, if you want to be invited just let me know---or go to Goodread and start your own. Have fun reading. Kathie

Miss South Dakota

When I went to bed, Miss America was just starting. The first thing they did was announce Miss South Dakota as one of the top 15 voted in by a reality show audience. She spoke at Grant-Deuel in November. Her family is from Eureka area, not far from Heidi and Dan. Her mother is the coach for an area swim team that Heidi wants Kebba to be on, but that has not happened. Maybe Ty knows her. I fell asleep before she was eliminated, but she did not make it into the finals.

"_________and Me?"
I'm sure others beside myself, have gone to "Marley and Me"! It is wonderful--sad--but good. We've probably all have had a Marley in our life time (some pet, even if it wasn't a dog). Anyone have any stories??
Our movie would have to be entititled : "Zues and Me" Zues was our first Gordon Setter!! When we saw the reddish brown coat (instead of the black--a recessive gene came out)) it should have given us a clue that we were in the "ride " of our lives!! He just had this look in his eye and when it was there--you knew he was going blastick!!--he was out of here--he was gone!! He ran, and ran, and he was known to: watch TV with neighbors on their couch; to catch ride home with the Cottage Grove police; unlatch the hook on kennel door; leave Derek face first in the snow bank; scale the 5 foot fence; took off with me and the chain resulting in 15 stitches; to being a patient at the U of Mn animal hospital. Yes, lots of fun memories. Share yours!!! Kathie
